Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a complicated thing to be afflicted with. No one has all the same symptoms. Everyone feels their symptoms to varying degrees. Nothing solves everything for everyone. Because of this, Fibromyalgia (which I typically refer to as Fibro), is difficult to diagnose, with many people suffering for many years with no idea what is happening to their body and coming from doctor appointments with no answers to so many questions.

My diagnosis of Fibro came in the Summer of 2015. I had recently been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) but still had all these other symptoms that plagued me and couldn’t be explained by the RA.  Working close with my new Rheumatoid doctor, going over all my many symptoms, he came to the conclusion that I was suffering from a pretty severe case of Fibro. This is a common occurrence apparently, with many co-morbidities.

For me, Fibro means many things. There are all the symptoms that I suffer from; hands that feel hot and swollen but aren’t; constantly feeling like you have the flu; clothes hurting; blankets hurting; Fibro Fog; loss of mobility; constant fatigue; having to rest after getting out of bed, or taking a shower, or cooking, or…. pretty much everything.
